Last night at like 1am I was flipping through the chanz on Shaw TV. I landed on channel 109. visionquest.ca? visionsomething.ca? Something like that in the bottom-right corner watermark. So I caught the end of this movie. It was super 80's to the max. The info display didn't say what the title of the movie was, but man, I wish I knew. Here's how it went:
A song is playing as hype as the Transformers song "The Touch" by Stan Bush, except more like the verse part. You know. So this song is on, and theres this fluffy-haired guy in a leather jacket and acid wash jeans, standing in the desert. He's watching his buddy, who's dressed similarly, sitting on the back of a motorcycle who's driver is this dude in a hoody that makes him look like a Star Wars Tusken Raider. So, as if it was normal, they drive upwards into the sky, like E.T. The guy on the ground is just smiling and waving at them, looking like they just went through the craziest adventure. The shots go back and forth, from the first guy, to the floating motorcycle, and the waving. Eventually the motorcyle fades into the clouds. Back on the ground, this 80's chick shows up, and she says, "Who are you waving at?". The guy goes, "Someone special.", and then they both start hugging. My goodness. During the credits, the shot is filmed at an escalator. I'm assuming it's the motorcycle passenger, because he's with that weirdo dude, and he gets on the escalator while the weirdo dude's watching him at the foot of the escalator stairs. The camera is probably on the steps in front of him focused on the motorcycle passenger's face while he's riding the escalator. As the credits are rolling, every now and then he turns around to wave at the Tusken weirdo. Ask me, and I'll show you, it's very 80's. When he's not turning around and waving, he's making this weird happy face. I have no idea where he's taking that escalator to.
I would not mind knowing what movie this is. I should've IMDB'd the cast but I was frozen in weird.
